Privacy: your text never leaves your browser

Every Toolflect Text Tool is 100% client-side. The moment you type or paste text, it is analyzed by JavaScript running inside this browser tab. Your text is never sent to our servers, never stored in a database, and never shared with any third party or AI service.

  • No uploads, no accounts, no sign-up
  • No cookies or tracking of your text
  • Works offline once the page has loaded
  • Close the tab and your text is gone from memory

You can even verify it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and type into the tool — the only requests you will ever see are this page's own static files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Nothing you type is ever transmitted.

Frequently asked questions

Do emojis count as one character?
Yes. Counting uses user-perceived characters (graphemes), so an emoji like 👨‍👩‍👧 counts as one character even though it is built from several underlying code points — exactly how social platforms count.
What is the difference between characters and characters excluding spaces?
The total includes every space; the excluding-spaces figure removes whitespace only. Forms and APIs often care about the total, while some databases store trimmed text.
Are Arabic and accented characters supported?
Fully. Letters like م or é are counted as letters, Arabic-Indic digits as numbers, and right-to-left text is displayed correctly while you type.
Does the character counter store my text?
Never. Your text is processed in your browser's memory only — there is no upload, no account and no storage of any kind.
