Features

Privacy — your image stays with you

Images are processed locally in your browser using the File API and Canvas API. ToolFlect does not upload, store, or see your image — you can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads: the picker keeps working. Clipboard access is only used when you press a Copy button, and only to write the color value you asked for.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a color from an image?
Upload an image by drag-and-drop, the Choose Image button, or paste from your clipboard, hover to preview the pixel in the magnifier, then click or tap to select that color.
Can I get the HEX code from an image?
Yes — click any pixel and the tool shows its HEX value plus RGB, HSL and HSV, each with a one-click copy button.
Does the image get uploaded?
No. It is processed locally with the browser File and Canvas APIs, so your image never leaves your device.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. HEIC works only where your browser decodes it natively, such as Safari.

Yes — the tool builds 3, 5 and 8-color palettes automatically, with CSS-variable export and PNG download.
Is the color picker free?
Yes — unlimited use with no sign-up and no limits.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — tapping the image selects the color at that position.
